The window and door fixer

The Window and Door Fixer is a Cardiff-based business with over 40 years of experience in the trade, run by Nick. It repairs all types of UPVC, aluminium, wooden doors and windows. Services include double glazing repairs, locksmith services, and fitting catflaps and dogflaps into doors and windows. The company supplies and fits replacement door locks, grade A doors and windows, and replacement glass for windows, doors and rooflights. Free estimates and a 100% satisfaction guarantee are offered.

Cardiff customers of The window and door fixer report a service built around rapid response, spanning window installation, double glazing repairs, emergency door locking faults, glass panel replacement and the fitting of patio and sliding doors. Reviewers often mention how swiftly jobs are completed, whether an out-of-hours hinge repair, a same-day realignment of a double glazed door, or an emergency call-out over the Christmas period.

The fitters named in accounts, Nick, Gary and Dan, are credited with expertise and clear advice; one customer describes a smart lock fitted despite the lock and door not matching, while another was shown how to attempt the fix independently. Tidiness comes up often, with work areas left clean once a job is finished, and costs are described as fair and acceptable. Patio and sliding doors feature regularly, including a replacement that transformed a living room, and a window pane removed so a sofa could pass through before being refitted. Prompt communication and friendly, professional conduct run through the feedback from first contact to completion.
