The Door Factory

The Door Factory is a Glasgow-based door supply, manufacturer and fitting company. It operates a showroom in The Forge Market and has served Glasgow and the surrounding area for many years. The company supplies and fits doors, and offers door hanging and fitting, joinery services, door manufacturing and delivery. Its process begins with measuring up the space for the door and then offering suggestions; it fits the door and ensures it works perfectly before leaving.

Householders replacing internal doors make up most of the projects described, and The Door Factory in Glasgow divides opinion sharply. On the positive side, the fitting team earns repeated praise: Sean is named for arriving when arranged and for the care taken over awkward openings, with customers describing old doors removed and shavings cleared away afterwards. Nicola is singled out for helpful service in the shop, and the quality of the finished doors is described as pleasing. Reviewers also value that the premises stock a range of doors for immediate purchase.

The recurring complaints concern organisation and aftercare: several customers describe orders placed only to be lost or delayed well beyond the fitting time quoted, and problems such as a door that stuck were reported as still unresolved after repeated calls. Communication is the theme that comes up often, with messages promised from the office that never arrived, and one account describes being ignored at the counter. Positive accounts centre on the physical fitting and the shop's stock, while negative ones return to lost orders, missed dates and follow-up calls that did not materialise.
