JMF Doors

JMF Doors is a family-run business that has traded for more than 40 years. It has specialised in made-to-measure doors for over 25 years. The company is a Birmingham manufacturer, operating under the legal entity Good With Wood UK Ltd, trading as JMF Doors. Its team of bench joiners has more than 75 years of combined experience.

JMF Doors specialises in custom, handmade, five-piece mortice-and-tenon MDF doors. It uses moisture-resistant MDF sourced from manufacturers that support sustainable forestry. Its doors are spray-primed, sealed and hand-sanded ready for painting. The company also makes made-to-measure MDF kitchen, cabinet and wardrobe doors.

Bespoke cupboard doors and made-to-measure panelling are the projects that come up most among customers of JMF Doors, a Birmingham furniture maker whose work spans kitchen replacements, bathroom panelling and awkward-size cabinet fronts. Several reviewers describe the process as straightforward from start to finish, noting that dimensions could be submitted with guidance and that designs were adjusted to match existing units so that new pieces blended in with older ones. Communication is a recurring theme: queries sent by email were answered quickly and clearly, and updates arrived without prompting.

A number of reviews mention punctuality, with doors and panelling sometimes delivered ahead of the promised date, arriving well protected and undamaged. The finished quality is praised for its accuracy, with pieces fitting exactly as measured and details matched closely enough that additions are indistinguishable from original joinery. Customers also value the advice offered on styles and specifications, describing staff as friendly and supportive, and one names Chris for a professional service on an online shaker door order. Trade clients returning across multiple projects note that designs are readily tweaked and support is always available, which explains why so many say they would order again for cupboard doors or panelling.
