Sheffield Glass Co Ltd

Sheffield Glass Co Ltd was established in 1975 and is described as South Yorkshire's longest established glass merchant and glazing contractor. The company works with domestic and commercial clients. Its registered company name is Sheffield Glass Company Limited, and it is a locally based glass merchant and glazier. It manufactures bespoke mirrors. Glass and mirrors are processed on-site in Sheffield and cut to size by its team. Its glass range includes single glazing, double glazing, mirrors and toughened glass.

It handles misted double-glazed units and traditional timber frame re-glazing. It provides shopfront re-glazing. It stocks Georgian wired, laminated safety glass and float glass made to measure. It stocks greenhouse glass and clips. It offers toughened glass shelves, glass furniture protection and glass balustrades. It offers Velux glass unit replacements. Mirrors are made to measure with polished edges and drilled, with same day turnaround and collection.

Sheffield Glass Co Ltd covers a wide range of glazing work in the city, from failed double glazing units and Victorian window panes to mirror repairs, splashbacks and sealed units for conservatories. Speed is a recurring theme in feedback, with several customers describing measuring, supply and fitting completed far sooner than anticipated, in one instance the following day. Punctuality is mentioned often: staff arrive when they say they will, work carefully and finish promptly. Tidiness is likewise highlighted, with interiors and exteriors left clean once the job is done.

Communication is praised before and after the work, including quick replies to emails and useful guidance on how a job should be tackled. Dave is singled out by name for his long experience and friendly, knowledgeable manner. Quotations are described as competitive and fair, and the finished result, whether replacement window glass, misted units or made-to-measure mirrors, is consistently well regarded. Polite, efficient workmen and a readiness to resolve small jobs, sometimes at no cost, are given as reasons customers come back for later glazing needs, among them further window replacements and sealed unit installations.
