Roman Glass

Roman Glass was established in Bath in 1974 and has over 41 years of trading in the glass industry. It operates 26 branches, including Cardiff, and employs a workforce in excess of 130 people. The company has over 70 fully equipped glass-carrying vehicles. Its staff hold the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) qualification. Roman Glass is a Pilkington Glass Approved Contractor and a member of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), adhering to the GGF consumer code of practice.

It undertakes work for nine councils and has worked with large organisations including the Bank of America. The company offers bespoke glazing, contract glazing, painted glass, and traditional or modern leaded lights, and supplies float and laminated glass from stock, clear patterns and diffused, fire, mirror and toughened glass and bespoke sandblasting.

Cardiff customers repeatedly turn to this glazier for misted sealed units, cut-to-size panes, bespoke mirrors and coloured glass splashbacks, and the accounts suggest a pattern of fast, uncomplicated service. Kevin is named again and again for being helpful and responsive, while Paul is thanked as the glazier who went the extra mile, notably after a burglary, when he helped make a home secure. Quotes are described as following quickly from an enquiry, with replacement units often ready sooner than customers expected, and several reviewers note that fitting was completed without fuss, including splashbacks installed neatly on walls that were not straight.

Fair pricing and a straightforward, helpful manner are mentioned often, as is the willingness of staff to carry larger mirrors to upper floors and offer fitting advice along the way. The finished work, whether a single pane, a cut piece of glass or a full splashback, is consistently described as well done, and a recurring theme is that customers come back to the same firm whenever glass needs attention, which says much about how the work is regarded.
