Roman Glass

Roman Glass is a glazier and glass repair company that was established in Bath in 1974 and has over 41 years of trading in the glass industry. The company operates 26 branches, including in Bath, Bristol, Cardiff, Exeter, Gloucester, Swindon and Taunton, and employs a workforce in excess of 130 people. It has over 70 fully equipped glass-carrying vehicles.

Roman Glass staff hold the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) certification. The company is a Pilkington Glass Approved Contractor and a member of the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), adhering to the GGF consumer code of practice. It undertakes work for nine councils and has worked with large organisations including the Bank of America.

Artists, householders and trade customers in Bristol bring picture frames, cabinet panes, mirrors and apertures to Roman Glass, and the accounts that recur describe a straightforward, friendly operation. Several customers highlight the speed of turnaround, noting that glass is cut and ready on the date promised, while others mention that ordering mirrors is easy and the fitting of apertures is handled without fuss.

Value comes up repeatedly: reviewers describe the pricing as reasonable and fair for replacement glass, mirrors and frames, and one long-standing trade customer remarks on having used the firm over a long period. The counter and measuring staff are named as helpful, and phone enquiries are described as dealt with helpfully before work begins. Restoration work on older pieces, including the glass in a small antique cabinet, is mentioned as carried out with care.

A recurring point is the mix of products handled under one roof, from in-stock frames to cut-to-size glazing, which customers say saves them sourcing replacements online when a supplier delivers a broken pane. Reliability, tidy results and a hassle-free process are the threads running through the feedback, with the quality of the finished glazing and the friendliness of the team at the centre of most accounts.
