I Had Smiths Blinds recently fit new Blackout blinds to my conservatory and can honestly say absolutely delighted. I had a couple of companies come round to give a quote, they were all more or less the same price, but was bowled over by the guy from smiths ( Gary if think ) the product, professionalism and reliability. More than happy with everything 👌

I had a bit disappointing experience with Smith Blinds due to poor and inconsistent communication. After paying for a such expensive curtains, my measuring appointment was cancelled and rescheduled with different times as originally scheduled. Once measurements were taken, I was told we would arrange installation when the curtains were ready. After some time, I got a phone call from a staff member saying: the curtains are ready and we can install your curtains on Monday as we previously discussed and scheduled. No, we have not made any appointment yet and we have never discussed any dates of installation. I agreed to install following week. Communication then became chaotic. I received multiple calls and voicemails from different staff members, giving conflicting information. Confirmed time of the appointment was repeatedly changed without any reasons, inconsistent with what was originally agreed, and I had to clarify arrangements. I had everything documented, recorded as well as stored communication in voice mails which confirmed the company’s inconsistency in communication When the installer arrived, The curtain rail brackets were fitted unevenly measured by eye and without using any ruler to maintain an equal distance, and the curtains had to be taken back because they were about 5 cm too long. the holes in wall left after this appointment I had to fill them myself The confusion continued with further appointment changes, delays, and contradictory information from different employees in the company Overall, I feel Smith Blinds showed no respect for my time and energy. miscommunication, repeated schedule changes and inconsistency turned a straightforward purchase into a frustrating experience if you don’t want to question your own memory with times of your appointments, Document your appointments, times and dates and delays from the start. At the end you’ll pay lots of money for a disappointment purely in communication. The curtain itself looks very good, overall effect is amazing, It is made of a high quality material despite only a price band B. I am happy with this and no issue with this. I will want to install curtain in my bedrooms but I will probably choose a different company or will be very strict and assertive with the communication and the appointments and times from the very start, making sure this is all documented via emails.
