I am delighted with the splashback which you fitted on Monday 6th. Unfortunately I was made to feel quite uncomfortable by the older fitter as he claimed I should have had an electrician on hand to unscrew the power socket prior to fitting and to re screw afterwards. At no time was I told this would be a requirement and in actual fact I have unscrewed many such sockets to wallpaper or paint behind them!!! Because of the thickness of the splashback the screws needed replacing with longer ones which noone had suggested I needed to source. As part of fitting I would have thought this was covered. It was suggested I went to QD for them. Eventually after a lot of huffing and puffing he went himself to get some. Unfortunately QD did not have them so we were back to the beginning. During this time my electricity and internet were turned off. He finally agreed to go on to his next job and returned later with two screws and the job was completed to my satisfaction. As I say I am very pleased with the finished result but feel constant saying of “We don’t do electrics “was unnecessary as was “you should have had a phone call to tell you to get an electrician.” Would appreciate your feedback on this review. I have since had communication from the firm regarding my review where it was acknowledged that I was not told about the problem re electricity in the quote which should have been made clear and would have avoided the complications. I have happily received a small refund as an apology. As said in the initial review I am very pleased with the final result which has enhanced my kitchen.

R A Baker have fitted two cat flaps for me - the second due to the cat breaking out! They have always been courteous and are careful to protect floors, etc. while carrying out the job. As this was the second time I had hired them, the process was quicker as they still had my previous order on file. Also, I sent over links to the cat flap I’d bought and they fitted it perfectly - all measurements correct despite not seeing the cat flap beforehand. I will recommend them to anyone who needs a glazier.

Excellent workmanship.! I have used them 3 times so far . Splashbacks in the kitchen - perfect! .Replaced the glass in drinks unit , recently replaced double glazing units in bedrooms and dinning room excellent job. Even our painter decorator said what a fantastic job they did with the double glazing units . I would personally highly recommend them for their attention to detail . Thank you 😊!

I've used R A Baker twice recently to have glass replaced at our business in a metal door and also new obscured glass in my front door which is wooden. They visited extremely quickly to assess what was needed and everything was ordered and installed within days. Their service is excellent, I will definitely use them again.
