Doorfit Architectural Ironmongery & Fire Doors

Doorfit Architectural Ironmongery & Fire Doors has supplied architectural ironmongery and access control products to the construction industry since 1953. It is a family-run business built on strong family values and employs over 50 skilled and experienced professionals. The joint managing directors are Robert and Philip Neil.

Doorfit is a member of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) and holds accreditations including Constructionline and SafeContractor. The company operates four specialist divisions: Architectural Ironmongery, Fire Doors, and Garage & Entrance Doors. It supplies garage doors and complete door solutions across the UK. Its main services include the supply, fit and maintenance of fully compliant door sets.

Depth of expertise and readiness to respond quickly are the themes that run through feedback on this Birmingham architectural ironmongery and fire door specialist. Customers writing about their orders describe detailed knowledge of fire door regulations and ironmongery, with guidance that extends past simply supplying goods and includes suggestions for alternative approaches suited to the job. Named members of the team, among them Alan, Jack, Phil, Paul, Duncan, Ryan, John and Mark, are repeatedly praised for friendliness, responsiveness and for going further than expected, whether the enquiry arrives by telephone or email.

Speed is another point that comes up often: a construction firm reports an urgent garage door order fulfilled far faster than other suppliers had managed, while hotel refurbishment work is described as consistently well catered for. Reviewers mention quick turnaround, fast delivery and a willingness to assist when time is tight, and the hardware range itself attracts positive comment, with one customer calling the premises a brilliant place to source fittings. Repeat trade business appears to follow naturally from that mix of product knowledge, urgent order handling and personal service, with long-standing contacts describing the same standard maintained over years of dealing with the firm.
