Viewforth Glazing

Viewforth Glazing is a glazing and glass repair company based in Edinburgh. It has been in business for 57 years. Kelvin is the Managing Director and Linda is a Director. The company specialises in window and door repairs. It is the Scottish agent for etched glass from Barron Glass. Viewforth Glazing provides service throughout Edinburgh and the Lothian areas.

It offers draught proofing of original timber sash and case windows. It supplies and installs sash windows, PVC windows and doors, secondary glazing, Velux roof windows, residential doors, French doors, patio doors, bi-fold doors, shop doors and shop fronts. It offers up to a full 12 year guarantee with its Veka Windows full u-PVC and Composite Door range.

Edinburgh projects handled by Viewforth Glazing range from replacement windows and doors to mirrors, glass tabletops and general repairs, according to the accounts left by customers. Several describe a straightforward journey from first enquiry to completed job, with prices explained clearly and appointments honoured as arranged. Punctuality and tidiness recur repeatedly, as fitters arrive when expected, work unobtrusively and leave the site clean, whether the task involves traditional sash windows in a tenement flat, a large mirror installation or a front door quarter-light reglazed with leaded glass to a customer's own design.

Named members of staff draw particular praise, with two installers, Andy and Mark, singled out for careful, quiet workmanship, while Stuart, a manager, is described as patient and knowledgeable when questions arose about the products available. A theme running through the feedback is that enquiries are answered and progress relayed while work proceeds, and reviewers note the standard of finished items even years after fitting, including bespoke glass cut to cover furniture. Repeat custom appears common, with some returning for further repairs and glazing work after earlier jobs.
