Extremely disappointed with this company and their lack of customer care. I raised concerns about the embellishment boards above my windows from the beginning and was assured that they did not need to be replaced because the windows could always be changed from the inside. Trusting their expertise, I accepted their advice. Later, when scaffolding was erected around my property, I immediately called the company and pointed out that this was the perfect opportunity to replace the boards. Despite having easy access and despite my request, they refused. As a result, I am now facing around £2,000 in costs for each side of the house, leaving me with a total bill of approximately £4,000 to correct a problem that could and should have been addressed when the work was being carried out. What frustrates me most is that I feel the company chose to do the work that suited them, rather than what was in my best interests as a customer. I relied on their advice and gave them every opportunity to resolve the issue when access was available, but they chose not to. I have been left with unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and a significant financial burden because of their refusal. I trusted their expertise, but I now feel completely let down. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to get every assurance in writing and to make sure that all concerns are dealt with before the work is signed off.

We had two bathrooms refurbished from scratch, due to prior leaking pipes under the floor. Each room took around 4 weeks to complete. Thistle provided an excellent service, from design to installation and finishing. The workmen were great - punctual, friendly and kept everything as clean as possible. The bathroom designer was very helpful, as was the project manager. For us this was a big job and potentially very disruptive. But Thistle made everything straightforward and we had excellent communication throughout the project. Highly recommended.

We recently had our bathroom redone. Thistle had excellent service. Showed up when they said they would even in spite of adverse weather conditions. Always left the bathroom clean in the midst of construction. Everyone from the project manager, painter, plumber etc were lovely to work with. Would highly recommend their amazing team!

AVOID THIS COMPANY The first day of our window installation seemed to go well. However the 2nd day the installer while ripping out the front door cut through the hard wired door bell and fused the whole of the downstairs. Had to wait hours for an electrician who was here approximately 5 mins. I was assured it was all sorted, and front door was installed. We then had to get them back to fix doors and outsides which weren’t finished We then discovered the door bell wiring had not been fixed so were left without a bell. And no way to fix as the wiring is under the framework of the new door and no way to get near it. We had to purchase a ring doorbell so we had something and left with a bell box inside the house we will have to rip out and repaper to fix. Very luckily for us we were getting electrical work done from a ‘proper’ electrician who told us we were lucky the house hadn’t gone up in flames. Instead of repairing the fuse in the box their electrician had wired everything through the one fuse and overloaded the fuse which could have cause a fire. We have now been contacting them regarding the kitchen window and door frames. As we have been told they have been fitted the lazy way. Where all joints should be mitred (as they were with the old) they have fitted them as quick as possible and we have been left with this monstrosity. We contacted thistle and the sales man eventually got back to us and said the office had tried to call us - but they hadn’t we were assured they would call that week, but no call. We were assured a call the next week and surprise surprise no call. And now the 3rd week we have been promised a call and yet again they have avoided us. This is ridiculous these windows and doors were not cheap. You expect your property to be respected and any damage rectified and not to be left with weird frames. And having to repaper cause they ruined the door bell.

I could not be happier with the experience of having my bathroom designed and installed by Thistle. The whole process from start to finish was incredibly thorough and professional. Rebekah did an amazing job with my bespoke design for the bathroom . Introducing a design I would not have thought of but still including everything I had asked for. Jan the Project Manager and his team were incredibly helpful making sure I was kept informed of every step of the way. All the trades men who worked on the project were experienced, reliable , provided a high quality of workmanship and were extremely professional. The transformation is amazing and absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much Team Thistle.

We ordered new doors for the house, when the dirt arrived it was not the correct door that was ordered, the door was then replaced but the seals were defective and there was damage to the structure. It took several visits to try and get this fixed, the seals were glued in place to fix as it happened again which isn’t as per the manufacturers design and the damage while repaired is still visible. I will not be returning as a customer. UPDATE: After speaking with a director it appears we could have kept the original door that was in perfect condition and would have been able to get compensation despite being told we can’t do that as it would be counted as a complaint and affect their customer satisfaction rating. Now we have to keep a door that is substandard compared to the original and won’t be able to get compensation as it was as per the contract. The door issues were corrected but the repair is visible and the seals are glued to keep them in place now.

Doors installed in July. Required attendance twice so far to adjust, (fair enough). However, quite a large amount of water started pouring in the front door yesterday. Also the back door handle is also coming loose. I went to the showroom to request attendance as soon as possible as I am heading away to attend to my mothers funeral arrangements tomorrow and unable to be in after lunch time tomorrow and don’t want water coming in when we are away. As of 5pm today- no contact, no reaching out to try and amend this.thankfully resolved the next day so thank you. The below is hopefully not a regular occurrence. Also poor workman at the time. Throwing tools onto the floor. There is a difference between putting a tool down and throwing it down. Chipped a bit of laminate but I was not going to bother mentioning it but since the installing and product are not the best I will put it here.
