The Wooden Door Company

The Wooden Door Company is a family-run, Yorkshire-based timber door manufacturer. Its team has over 100 years of combined timber door knowledge. The company manufactures its timber doors in its own Yorkshire factory in the UK. It works with responsibly sourced timber and FSC-certified options where suitable or specified. It supplies FD30 and fire-rated door options subject to design, frame, glazing and project specification.

The company works with homeowners, builders, contractors, developers, architects, interior designers, hotels, commercial clients, retail projects and community buildings. It offers nationwide delivery. The company manufactures bespoke internal doors, external doors, fire-rated doors, frames, architraves, wardrobe doors and complete project door packages.

Self-builders and homeowners renovating individual rooms appear among those who have dealt with this Bradford company, and the recurring theme is bespoke wooden doors made to unusual sizes. Customers describe internal doors, French doors and replacement pairs for living rooms and kitchens being produced to measurements that standard stock could not accommodate, with the finished articles arriving pre-finished and requiring no adjustment from the joiner on site.

Reviews regularly refer to the depth of knowledge offered by staff, with Mandy named for her advice on selecting replacements and Anesh and Sanjay credited for the care taken over a fifteen-door installation in a self-build property. An observation shared by more than one reviewer is the quality of the joinery, described as solid enough that a fitting carpenter commented on the standard of manufacture, along with the finish applied before delivery.

Communication draws praise for being prompt and helpful, and when a problem arose during one installation the response was understanding and quick to resolve. The family-owned character of the business is noted as a reason customers felt at ease dealing with it. Praise also attaches to the aftercare provided once doors were in place, which buyers rate as highly as the product itself.
