A-Rated Windows and Roofs

Today we noticed a problem with the sky light in our roof , we had it fitted 16 months earlier , we went to A rated show room , saw a very helpful gentleman who sent Anthony out to repair it within approx 2 hours , had to write this review excellent after care and Anthony did a fabulous repair job. After 19 years our south facing conservatory had developed a number of problems so in September 2025, we contacted A Rated Home Improvements to have it updated and transformed. From the outset we were very pleased with the way A Rated dealt with us. The standard of workmanship was excellent throughout always keeping us well informed. This combined with the work ethic and polite nature of all the workforce reassured us that we were in safe hands. All previous problems were completely rectified by the new construction. The new structure has been outstandingly good and we now have a much more usable space. During the winter the new room has been far easier to heat and in early spring/summer it has been a comfortable ambient environment. We had one minor leak in January after a particularly severe storm but this was quickly rectified by A Rated, as per their aftecare policy We are absolutely delighted with the construction and do not hesitate to recommend A Rated.

Shambolic company. Poor quality composite door that split in the cold weather. That was last December. After hounding them for best part of a year after being fobbed off with excuse after excuse, we finally had the replacement part fitted today. Fitters rushed the job and put the glass in the wrong way around so the logos on the glass are upside down, gaping gaps and glue everywhere. Lovely! Seriously considering ripping the door out and going elsewhere for a new one. Disappointed, dissatisfied and would certainly not recommend A Rated!

A real mixed bag! We have had two extensions done by A Rated. The first time around we were very happy with their work and I'd have given them 4 stars with the work well managed and completed without any real issues. The second time however needed a LOT of management on my part to keep things on track, and numerous minor issues which needed correcting, thus id give them 2 stars. For job 1 we had a conservatory converted into an orangery so groundwork was done and the main job was building and erecting the new structure, roof and finishing. All of which were done to a good standard and well managed. I can't think of any major issues and minor pickups were corrected quickly and efficiently without complaint. For job 2 we had a garage knocked down and a new extension built. The main issue this time was with a lack of project managament and some sloppy tradesman who let the side down. I have no complaints with the brickies, roofers, electrician, plasterer and carpenter. But the groundsmen and plumber especially, and some of the window fitters were poor. We are happy with the end result but getting there was a bumpy road. It is for these reason that I'd be 50/50 in reccomending A Rated.

I have used A Rated Home Improvements Ltd twice, I would not have any hesitation in using them again. They are a pleasure to deal with,whether it’s the office surveyor or the installers. The work is faultless, they clean up everything when they have finished. A very reputable company,and if I need any work in the future, they will definitely be the first company I would contact. We had our conservatory roof tiled last year by A Rated, and they did a fantastic job! The team was super helpful and finished everything in just a few days. Antony managed the whole project really smoothly. I’ve dealt with builders before who leave a mess, but not A Rated – they left everything clean and tidy. Their quote was also one of the best we got. I’d definitely recommend them!

Bought a composite front door and had it fitted last year. A-Rated were brilliant. They were able to source this very narrow high quality door which other suppliers told us could not be done. The fitters were friendly and professional. I definitely recommend A-Rated and would use them again. Thanks for a great job.
