Hamptons Blinds & Shutters

Hamptons Blinds & Shutters is a small, independent blinds and shutters business based in Glasgow. It was founded by a designer and installer duo who previously worked at Thomas Sanderson. The company has over 20 years of expertise in the window styling sector.

Gerry Shannon is Head of Design, and Jamie McGowan is Head of Installations, bringing over 10 years of experience fitting window stylings. Hamptons Blinds & Shutters provides blinds and shutters throughout Scotland, and offers a bespoke design service alongside expert installation. The company supplies made-to-measure blinds and shutters, with UK made shutters installed within 4 weeks.

Hamptons Blinds & Shutters supplies and fits shutters, Roman blinds and electric thermal blinds, and reviewers repeatedly praise the standard of the finished work. Customers describe the shutters as expertly fitted, with one householder noting the difference their electric thermal blinds made to the temperature of a room. The process from design through to installation is described as slick and seamless, and several reviewers highlight the professionalism and friendliness of the team, with Jamie and Gerry named for their help.

A point that comes up often is the speed of response: when the cord on an existing integrated blackout blind snapped, Gerry visited within a day and Jamie followed shortly afterwards to measure up and arrange the repair. Communication is singled out alongside workmanship, with updates given before and during fitting, and the final result checked afterwards. Buyers in Glasgow also mention that the pricing felt fair and that the job was completed at a time that suited them. Tidiness and care around the home are noted, as is the advice offered on which treatments would suit particular windows and doors. The range covers shutters with integrated blackout blinds, Roman blinds and electric thermal options suited to individual rooms.
