Direct Windows and Doors: Double Glazing Southampton

Direct Windows and Doors is a family run business with 30 years of experience in the industry. The company manufactures and installs double glazing in Southampton and surrounding areas from its Southampton factory. It is FENSA registered, and its installations are regularly inspected by FENSA to ensure compliance. The company offers a 10-year insurance backed guarantee on all double glazing windows and doors, provided by Home Improvement Protection, and this guarantee remains valid if the property is sold. It provides a free site survey with no obligation.

The company manufactures windows and doors in aluminium or uPVC, with an option for safety glass, and can complete installation within two weeks of order confirmation, with a minimum 4-day turn-around time. Its factory is open for viewing, and it runs an on-site glass shop. The company's work is sustainable as it does not import materials. It fits windows, doors, conservatories, roofs and sky pods in Southampton and surrounding towns. The company will only repair its own products. It can supply extra window keys on request, and doors can be made to open in and out. The company offers competitive prices for customers in Southampton and wider areas.

Double glazing work across Southampton features regularly in feedback for this manufacturer and installer, whose customers describe a straightforward journey from first enquiry to completed fitting. The quality of the finished result is a recurring theme, with replacement front and back doors, a large PVC kitchen window, further UPVC installations and the replacement of old timber frames all singled out. Adam is named repeatedly for guiding the quote, measuring and discussion of options, while fitters including Stu, Pete and Mike are described as polite, punctual, efficient and tidy.

Competitive quotes and supply dates come up often, as does the smoothness of the process, with one account of a non-standard office door measured and fitted within a week of ordering. Communication before and after the work is highlighted, particularly the willingness to deal with awkward or rotten old frames. A workshop visit to inspect finished products is mentioned, along with the appeal of using a local firm. Customers describe delight with the results and appreciation for the aftercare received.
